Hello! My name is Colleen Davis and the 2022-2023 school year will be my 9th year teaching 4th grade at Gause! A little bit about me . . .
I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. I went to Battle Ground schools and I graduated with my BA from the University of Washington and my MA from Washington State University. I am both a Husky AND a Cougar! I now live in east Vancouver with my husband Leo, a high school History teacher and a WSU Cougar through and through. We have a daughter named Clementine, who will be going into 1st grade this year. She is a feisty girl who loves art and gymnastics and keeps us on our toes! I love coffee, reading mystery novels and doing crossword puzzles, and we enjoy going on walks and bike rides and having picnics in the area. There are so many lovely outdoor places nearby to explore!
I love teaching 4th grade! My favorite part of teaching is getting to know my students and the interesting and unique individuals they are. I love being able to present information in different ways in order to reach all learners. Students in my classroom will know that they are smart, they are important, and that our class wouldn't be complete without them.
Parent-teacher communication is vital to students being successful! I am always available to meet, talk, or email, so do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I know we will have a wonderful year!
Best,
Colleen Davis
